Tru-Warrior’s Sacramento Saga Gets Curiouser & Curiouser
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Sacramento Bee” Saturday reported that the convoluted tale of Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest grows more and more bizarre with each passing day. If you missed the initial story, “Tru-Warrior” told reporters the other day that although he thinks new Sacramento coach Reggie Theus is doing a good job in his rookie year on the bench, his performance would be better if Artest played for another team. The team that seems to have the most interest in Artest appears to be the Denver Nuggets. If that deal were to come to fruition the Kings would receive power forward Eduardo Najera in return. The problem for Denver, is coach George Karl is not convinced giving up Najera is such a great idea, since Nene is on an indefinite leave of absence from the team. Nene was found to have a cancerous tumor on one of his testicles, and is unsure of whether he will return to play this season. The paper reports that Nuggets forward Linas Kleiza and or guard J.R. Smith, and Kings forward Kenny Thomas could be involved in a deal. The NBA trading deadline is February 21.
