Wallace Denies He Wants Out Of Chicago
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Chicago Sun-Times” Saturday reported that Chicago Bulls center Ben Wallace wants to get out of the “Windy City” and move over to the “Big Apple.” Wallace said that reports of him being sent to the New York Knicks for a package of Quentin Richardson, Fred Jones, and Malik Rose had absolutely no credence. Wallace told the paper that he enjoys playing for Chicago and he believes the team is heading in the right direction. Wallace signed a multi-year free agent contract with Chicago, before the start of the 2006-2007 campaign. Wallace skills have rapidly eroded since he left the Detroit Pistons, especially his glass cleaning ability. Wallace who just a couple of seasons ago was a perennial top 3 rebounder in the Association has seen his number dwindle due to foot problems. The Bulls who were thought to be a team that could contend this season in the Eastern conference has been at best disappointing. Their former coach Scott Skiles was fired on Christmas Eve, and the team has not gone through much improvement since interim coach Jim Boylan took the reigns.
