76ers Win Streak Up To 3, Sink Clippers 101-80

????????????????????????????????????????? Philadelphia 76ers swingman Andre Iguodala comes in for a reverse layup trailed by Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman during the third quarter of their game, played Saturday night.  Philadelphia defeated Los Angeles 101-80.?

If one thing has improved for the Philadelphia 76ers, it is their defense; Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers was no different as they held Los Angeles to 40.6% from the floor, while the 76ers shot 52.6%.? The end result was an easy win over the Clippers 101-80 at Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia shot 60% from the floor in the first half and held a sizeable 59-40 lead.? Fast forwarding to the fourth quarter, a 3-point play by the Sixers’ Andre Miller gave Philadelphia a 90-72 lead with 7:07 left in the game; Los Angeles closed to within 92-76, but baskets by Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert quickly pushed the Sixers’ edge to 20.? The Clippers wouldn’t recover from that deficit.? Philadelphia’s high scorer was Louie Williams from off?the bench with 18 points, while Miller scored 17 with 5 rebounds, 9 assists?and a steal; Dalembert added 16 with 6 rebounds and 4 blocked shots, while Iguodala chipped in with 15 along with?4 rebounds,?7 assists, 2 steals and a pair of blocked shots.

Los Angeles was led by Corey Maggette with 26 points, 2 rebounds and a pair of steals; Cuttino Mobley scored 19 with a rebound, an assist and 2 steals, while Al Thornton chipped in with 18 with 10 rebounds.? Philadelphia (21-30) remains at home, hosting the Dallas Mavericks Monday; Los Angeles (16-32) flies to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks – also on Monday.??
