Blazers’ Jones To Remain Out 3-5 More Weeks

A vital source of 3-point shooting for the Portland Trail Blazers will be sidelined for a while longer as the team announced that James Jones will miss an additional 3 to 5 weeks with a sore left knee; team general manager Kevin Pritchard told SportsTicker, “Originally, we felt holding him out through the All-Star break would be enough.? But after consulting with our medical staff, we feel an additional few weeks of rest is the best course of action.”

Ranked second in 3-point shooting at 48%, Jones has been sidelined with the knee injury since February 4; the 5-year veteran is averaging 9.1 PPG? and 2.9 RPG in 34 games this season.
