The “San Antonio Express-News” reported Monday that San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich believes that Spurs starting point guard Tony Parker will start playing with the team when games resume after the NBA All-Star break. Parker has missed six straight games with a sprained left ankle. Popovich however said that the return status of veteran guard Brent Barry is still not known. Barry has been out since January 26, with a torn muscle in his left calf, he previously was out with an injury to the same calf from December 28-January 14. Popovich said that the only cure for Barry’s malady is rest and time. San Antonio plays north of the border Monday night meeting up with the Toronto Raptors.
