The NBA, unlike the other professional sports leagues, is making their brand known in a big fashion; according to nba.com, a record 123 television partners will broadcast the 2008 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans to fans in 215 countries in 44 languages; this shatters the previous record of 110 television partners, set last year.
For the very first time, international NBA viewers will have the chance to impact NBA All-Star events in “real time”; fans worldwide will determine which of the 2?dunkers in the final round of the Sprite Slam Dunk Competition becomes the champion by visiting the NBA’s website and casting a vote, while fans in the US, Canada and China will also have the option of text messaging their vote.
