The “Big Three” of the Boston Celtics will be represented at the 2008 All-Star Game, according to NBA commissioner David Stern; Wednesday night, Stern said that Celtics guard Ray Allen was named to the Eastern Conference squad as an injury replacement for Washington Wizards forward Caron Butler.? This will be the 8th All-Star appearance for Allen, who will join Celtic teammates Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett - although Garnett, due to injury, will sit out the game.? Allen is averaging 18.5 PPG and ranks third in the NBA on free throw percentage at 91.5%.
