Ainge Says Green Team May Not Be Done Yet
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Boston Herald“?NBA Beat reporter Steve Bulpett wrote Thursday that although Boston Celtics Director of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge like the makeup of his current roster, he would not be adverse to making a move before the NBA trade deadline, February 21. Ainge, who is almost a lock for NBA Executive Of The Year, transformed last years moribund Boston team to the franchise with the most wins in the Association this season. Wednesday night they clinched at worst a .500 campaign as the had victory number 41 defeating the New York Knicks. Ainge told Bulpett, that although his is pleased with his team, he is still looking for that one missing ingredient. He did not elaborate on what it was, but their only lack of depth on the Green Team is a backup point guard. Celtics coach Doc Rivers will coach the NBA?Eastern Conference team, with Paul Pierce, and Ray Allen both chosen as reserves. Boston forward was chosen to be a starting forward by the fans, but a strained abdominal muscle, will not allow him to play. Garnett has?missed 9 straight games with the injury, surprisingly Boston?goes into the break with a five game winning streak.
