The Los Angeles Lakers announced Thursday night the result of Lakers guard Kobe Bryant’s examination by doctors on Thursday. Bryant has a complete tear of the radial collateral ligament, an avulsion fracture, and a volar plate injury at the MCP joint of the small finger of this right hand. In simple English that translates to one messed up pinkie! Bryant suffered the injury on February 5, in a game against New Jersey. he aggravated it in Wednesday night’s game against Minnesota.?Doctors recommended that Bryant have surgery immediately, which would put him on the shelf for six weeks. ?Bryant issued a statement through the team, saying he preferred to try to rest it and have the surgery after the end of the season, and after this Summer’s Olympics Games. No word whether Kobe will play this Sunday in the All-Star Game, in which he is scheduled to start for the Western Conference squad.
