With the NBA trading deadline nearly coming to an end, the Denver Nuggets, according to Marc Berman of the New York Post, may have an interest in New York Knicks forward Zach Randolph and the rumor is that both the Nuggets and Knicks have discussed a possible multi-player deal involving Randolph.

It’s believed that names discussed in a possible trade scenario would include the Nuggets’ Linas Kleiza, Eduardo Najera, Steven Hunter and J.R. Smith for Randolph and another Knick player; apparently, the Knicks are most interested in Kleiza.? A fly in the ointment would be that it would be difficult to move Knicks center Eddy Curry or Randolph because any deal that would bring back a solid player would also include a bad contract - something that Knicks coach/president Isiah Thomas isn’t allowed to have.

Also consider that according to a deep source within the NBA has said that with Randolph, once he isn’t scoring, he tends not to play any defense.? Whether that’s true or not, the Knicks will need to evaluate any trades they’re advocating very carefully before pulling the trigger - Thomas’ future with the team depends on it.
