Nuggets Give Big Ticket Rocky Return Beat Celtics 124-118

Carmelo Anthony scored a game high 29 points, Allen Iverson added 28 more, and the?Denver Nuggets shot 51.3% (41-80) from the floor for the game as Denver handed the Boston Celtics their first loss this season to a Western Conference opponent winning Tuesday 124-118. The loss for Boston came with Kevin Garnett back in their lineup for the first time since January 25, when he strained an abdominal muscle in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Boston. Garnett missed nine consecutive games, as well as the start in the NBA All-Star Game Sunday.

Anthony had along with his game high 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, in the victory. A.I. scored 28 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, Kenyon Martin scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist. ?Anthony Carter scored 14 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, Marcus Camby recorded a double-double 11 points, 13 boards, 9 blocks, 3 assists, 3 steals. Linas Kleiza came off the bench and scored 11 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists.

Paul Pierce led Boston with 24 points, 7 assists, 6 rebounds. Rajon Rondo scored 22 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, Ray Allen scored 20 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 block. Leon Powe recorded a double-double coming off the bench as he scored 13 points, 11 boards, 2 blocks, 1 steal, James Posey also had a nice game coming off the pine scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 1 assist. Garnett played just 21 minutes, and scored just 4 points,but grabbed 8 rebounds, and had 2 steals. Denver improves to 33-20, Boston is 41-10.
