Spurs Shut Down Bobcats 85-65

The San Antonio Spurs celebrated playing at home Tuesday night by cutting off the power to the Charlotte Bobcats offensive engine, beating up on the Bobcats 85-65.? San Antonio held Charlotte to just 28.2% shooting from the floor for the game(22-78) as they played in front of their home crowd for the first time in more than three weeks.?Manu Ginobili led the way for the Spurs scoring 18 points, as Tony Parker missed his ninth consecutive game with an inflamed left ankle.
This game was not an offensive onslaught on either side of the floor, as?San Antonio looked like they needed a road map to find the basket in the first quarter as the Bobcats took an 18-13 lead. The Spurs woke up a bit in the second quarter as they took a 36-32 lead as the two teams went to their respective locker?rooms at the half. San Antonio led at the end of the third quarter only 54-49, but the Spurs finally awoke?from their lethargy in the fourth quarter to put Charlotte away.
Ginobili was one of?only two San?Antonio starters?to score in double figures, as he had?18 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block, in the win. Michael Finley scored 14 points off the bench, 2 rebounds, 1 block, Ime Udoka recorded a double-double, as he?scored 12 points coming off the pine,?10 boards, 5 assists. Jacque Vaughn scored 10 points, 3 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 block.
Charlotte guard Raymond Felton led all players with 19 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal. Jason Richardson scored 13 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds, 1 block, Nazr Mohammed scored 12 points, 6 rebounds, 2 steals. San Antonio is now 35-17, while the Bobcats fall to 19-35.
