The Rockets were ahead 62-48 at the half, and the Heat still came back out on the floor for the second half. Miami actually had the lead down to just 8 points, a couple of times in? the third, but Houston was?up 87-75 heading into the final 12 minutes.?The fourth quarter was just a continuation of garbage time.

McGrady scored 23 points, 10 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, in the victory. Center Yao Ming scored 21 points, 9 rebounds, 1 block,?Carl Landry came off the bench, and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds. Alston had 16 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, Shane Battier scored 12 points,?5 rebounds, 4 assists. Luis Scola also recorded a double-double 11 points, 10 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals.

Dwyane Wade probably thought standing there holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy, that it was always going to be that easy.
