The Associated Press Saturday reported that? Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace will be out for at least the next two weeks after suffering a concussion Friday night during Charlotte’s loss to the Sacramento Kings. It is the fourth concussion Wallace has suffered in the last four years. Charlotte head coach Sam Vincent spoke with reporters Saturday night before the Bobcats faced off against the Washington Wizards. Vincent said “Gerald is probably going to be two weeks to maybe slightly more. He’s in an observation stage. I think everybody, coaching staff, organization, wants to be cautious about getting him back. We want to make sure there’s no danger to his health. We’re going to give him the time, let him get examined, follow the process to make sure he’s OK when he’s ready to play.”

Wallace had to be taken off the court on a stretcher after he accidentally caught an elbow to the nose, during the third quarter of Friday night?s game between the Charlotte Bobcats and the Sacramento Kings. Wallace was defending Kings forward Mikki Moore in a double team, when Wallace was called for a foul on Wallace. Apparently Moore turned when he heard the referee blow the whistle, and Wallace?s nose was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wallace was knocked unconscious and EMT worker strapped him onto a stretcher with a neck brace on and took him from the court in front of a silent arena. Moore was shaken up by the accident. He was released from the hospital Friday night suffering from a concussion, and some amnesia. Doctors said there was no internal bleeding and no fracture had occurred.?
