Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Associated Press Saturday that Washington Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas is progressing a lot slower than doctors had originally anticipated. The team had targeted for him to return to playing on March 2, Arenas told reporters that date was no longer a realistic goal. Arenas had surgery performed on his left knee in late November, it was the second time he had undergone the procedure last year. He had undergone successful surgery back in April, had rehabbed all Summer played in eight games, and hurt the knee again. Arenas told reporters that the knee is fine, but he is no where near the shape he needs to be in to play again in the Association. Arenas said he needs to work on his timing and his cardio-vascular exercises to get back into shape. Arenas did not give a date for his return to?playing.
