Boylan To New Players: No Head Bands Allowed
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Chicago Sun-Times” Monday reported that Chicago Bulls interim head coach Jim Boylan has informed his two newest players Larry Hughes and Drew Gooden that the team does not allow it’s players to wear head bands. The team has allowed one exception, to one of the players that was traded for the former Cleveland Cavaliers duo, Ben Wallace. Boylan informed both vets there would be no exceptions made in their cases. As far as Boylan’s status as interim coach Bulls General Manager John Paxson told reporters that he thought the coach was doing a very good job under very tough circumstances. Boylan a former assistant coach with the team, took over as interim head coach after Scott Skiles was fired on Christmas Eve. Boylan has heard rumors of other people coveting his position including former Pistons coach Larry Brown. Boylan says he tries not to pay attention to the rumors or allow them to get under his skin.
