Kleiza Signs With New Agent

The Rocky Mountain News Wednesday reported that Denver Nuggets forward Linas Kleiza has ended his relationship with his former agent Herb Rudoy, and is now signed to BDA Sports Management. BDA also represents Kleiza’s teammates Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony. The 23 year old forward will be eligible for a contract extension this summer. Kleiza’s name was mentioned prominently in trade rumors concerning a deal that would have sent Sacramento Kings forward Ron Artest to Denver.However sources close to the team said that Nuggets coach George Karl did not want to give up Kleiza.

Harris Could Play Thursday For Nets

The Associated Press reported Wednesday that new New Jersey Nets point guard Devin Harris could make his first appearance in a game for the team Thursday night, as the Nets host the Milwaukee Bucks. Harris who came to the Nets last week in the trade that sent Jason Kidd to Dallas has not played since he sprained his left ankle when playing for the Mavericks. The report says that if Harris does play Thursday it will most likely be coming off the bench rather than as a starter. The Nets also announced that New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank will allow Harris to call his own plays rather than giving them to him? through signals from the bench.

Clippers Sign Fazekas To Ten Day Contract

The Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday announced that they have signed Nick Fazekas to a ten day contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Fazekas was a second round draft pick by the Dallas Mavericks in the 2007 NBA Draft, and had recently been waived by Dallas. The Clippers have been playing without center Chris Kaman who is out with a bad back. Kaman received an epidural shot (a shot in the base of your spine) on Tuesday to relieve inflammation in his back. Fazekas also played this season for the NBDL franchise in Tulsa.

The Boston Celtics announced Thursday that they have signed veteran forward P.J. Brown to a contract to help them during the stretch run of the regular season, as well as in the Post Season. Brown?who played last season for the Chicago bulls, had settled into retirement this season, and had rejected advances earlier this campaign to play with other teams. New Orleans was also a team that was highly interested in the 6′11″ player that is entering his fifteenth NBA campaign.
