Reports Say Vincent Has Told Wallace To Play With Less Abanadon

The Associated Press is reporting that the Charlotte Bobcats coach Sam Vincent has had discussions with injured forward Gerald Wallace about his predilection for getting concussions. Wallace suffered the fourth one of his career last week when he was hit in the nose by an inadvertent Mikki Moore elbow, as the Bobcats played the Sacramento Kings. Wallace was examined on Tuesday by a neurologist. Wallace is suffering from what the team is labeling as ?post-concussion symptoms? The Bobcats said that Wallace had gone through the weekend with headaches, dizziness, drowsiness, as well as experiencing pain in his neck and jaw. Wallace had to be taken off the court on a stretcher after he accidentally caught an elbow to the nose, during the third quarter of Friday night?s game between the Charlotte Bobcats and the Sacramento Kings. Wallace was defending Kings forward Mikki Moore in a double team, when Wallace was called for a foul on Wallace. Apparently Moore turned when he heard the referee blow the whistle, and Wallace?? nose was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wallace was knocked unconscious and EMT worker strapped him onto a stretcher with a neck brace on and took him from the court in front of a silent arena. Moore was shaken up by the accident. He was released from the hospital Friday night suffering from a Grade 3 concussion, and some amnesia. Doctors said there was no internal bleeding and no fracture had occurred. Vincent is concerned with his player’s long term health which prompted the discussion.
