Could Deke Play Another Season?

The “Houston Chronicle” reported Thursday Houston Rockets veteran center Dikembe Mutombo is considering playing one more season after this one. Mutombo who will turn 42 years old this June and is in seventeenth campaign in the Association, told reporters that Houston General Manager Daryl Morley approached Deke about coming back one more time, next season. Mutombo told reporters “I have to think about it, to talk to the wifey and the kids and see how everybody feels about it. Even my teammates said, Deke, we don’t want you to leave. I don’t know why everybody wants me to stay. I wonder to myself, when will I go home. Let’s see how things go. If I wake up one morning and change my mind, God forgive. Right now, we’re trying to finish the season, make the playoffs and maybe get a chance to win a championship.”
