Reports Say Knicks Could Have Zeke & Kiki Next Season

The New York Daily News reported Thursday that the New York Knicks could retain coach Isiah Thomas, and still hire a new Director Of Basketball Operations, namely Kiki Vandeweghe. Vandeweghe who right now is an assistant to New Jersey Nets team President Rod Thorn has started to have his name mentioned prominently by the New York Tabloids in relation to his possibly joining New York next season as Director Of Basketball Operations. The original rumors had Thomas being fired, and Vandeweghe would choose his own head coach, but now according to the report Knicks owner James Dolan would like to retain Zeke on the bench and have Kiki run the front office. Vandeweghe says he has had no contact with the Knicks, and enjoys his job with New Jersey.
