Williams To Miss Game After Associate Charged With Murder

The Associated Press reported Thursday that Indiana Pacers forward Shawne Williams did not travel with the team on Thursday and will not play in Friday night’s contest in Toronto when they face the Raptors. Williams was questioned by police after an associate of his Gary Bohannon was arrested by Indianapolis police Wednesday night. Bohannon, who is from Memphis, had a Tennessee warrant for his arrest on murder charges. Bohannon was picked up near Williams house in a truck registered to Williams. An attorney for the player John Tompkins, said his client was unaware that Bohannon was at his house and did not invite him. Pacers CEO Donnie Walsh said that Williams is not suspended but the team needs time to sort out all the facts in the case.
