Ilgauskas To Miss At Least Two Weeks With Back Strain

The “Cleveland Plain Dealer” reported Sunday that Cleveland Cavaliers starting center Zydrunas Ilgauskas will be out for at least two weeks while he recovers from a strained back that has been bothering him for the last two to three months. “Z” told reporters that he has been playing through the pain but decided he needed to shut it down when he had back spasms getting out of his car. The 7′3″ center has averaged 13.5 points, 9.6 boards this season and has recorded 25 double-doubles. Cleveland coach Mike Brown told reporters that there is no definitive date set for Ilgauskas return to action, but the only way for his center’s back to improve is through rest.
