The NBA announced Monday that Philadelphia 76ers guard Andre Miller was named the NBA Player Of The Week from the Eastern Conference, the Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant was awarded the honor in the Western Conference. The award is given for games played from Monday February 25, through Sunday March 2. Miller helped the Sixers to a 2-1 record during the week, as he averaged 23.0 points, 7.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals, per game. Miller went up against Jameer Nelson, Baron Davis and Steve Nash during the week and outscored them 69-27!

Bryant is now number 25 on the NBA All Time Scoring List. He helped L.A. to a  3-1 mark during the week, as he averaged 34.0 points, 6.0 assists and 6.8 rebounds, per contest. Kobe scored 52 points against the Dallas Mavericks on March 2, it was the twenty second time in his career he has reached 50 or more points during a game.
