Tracy McGrady scored a game high 22 points, as he led five Houston Rockets in double figures, and the Rockets went on to defeat the Denver Nuggets in a pretty much one sided game Sunday 103-89. The win ties the club record for most consecutive victories for Houston with 15, first set in the 1993-1994 Championship season. Even more impressively they have won the last three games without All-Star center Yao Ming, who will undergo season ending foot surgery Monday to repair a stress fracture.

Houston had the lead at the end of the first quarter 21-18, the last legitimate threat that Denver posed in this game came with 4:28 remaining in the second quarter, and J.R. Smith made a layup to pull the Nuggets within two points, at 37-35. They would never get that close again the rest of the game. Houston had the lead at 10 points when the game reached the half the Rockets up 50-40. Denver never got closer than 8 points during the third quarter as Houston led 80-71 heading into the final period. The Nuggets never posed anything close to a challenge in the last quarter.

McGrady scored 22 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, in the victory.  Shane Battier scored 20 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, 1 steal, Luis Scola recorded a double-double, 18 points, 14 boards, 2 assists.  Rafer Alston scored 16 points, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, Carl Landry scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist.

Denver was led by Carmelo Anthony who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists.  Allen Iverson scored 17 points, 4 assists, 3 steals, 3 rebounds, Kenyon Martin recorded a double-double scoring 12 points, 10 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block.  J.R. Smith scored 12 points as he came off the bench for Denver, he had 3 steals, 3 rebounds, 1 assist. Houston is now at 39-20, the Nuggets now have a record of 35-24.
