Reports Say Cassell Will Sign With Boston Tuesday

Everything is working out to Sam Cassell’s satisfaction, finally this season. The Associate Press reported the former Los Angeles Clippers point guard has cleared waivers and according to Boston Celtics team spokesman Jeff Twiss should sign with the Celtics Tuesday. So ends a saga that has played out in the media for over a month as Cassell made no bones at all about the fact that he wanted to be bought out his deal by L.A.? Cassell will be the second veteran that Boston has picked up recently, as they signed retired center P.J. Brown to a deal last week.?
