Suns Sign Giricek For Remainder Of Season

The Phoenix Suns announced Tuesday that they have signed guard Gordan Giricek for the balance of the NBA season. Giricek was waived last week by the Philadelphia 76ers, they had acquired him from the Utah Jazz in a trade for Kyle Korver in December. The 30 year old Croatian born guard will be going to his fifth team in the Association. He had previously had stints with Memphis, and Orlando, besides being with the Jazz and the Sixers. Phoenix General Manager Steve Kerr said he was excited and pleased with the acquisition of Giricek, saying that he he excels at shooting and defending and will be a valuable asset for Phoenix in the Post Season.
