Bryant Learning To Play With The Pain
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The “Los Angeles Daily News” Friday reported that Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant is learning how to play with constant pain since injuring his right pinkie finger last month. Doctors advised Bryant to end his season and have surgery to correct the damaged digit but Bryant has refused. Not only does he intend to play with Lakers as far as their season takes them, he will also postpone an operation until after this Summer’s Olympic Games in Beijing. Bryant told the paper that he has learned how to get through the most painful times during games by compensating. He told reporters Thursday “I’ll keep my hand out of a play or two and I’ll try to move my fingers around to try to wait for the pain to subside a little bit. You get used to it.”
