Udrih Happy In Sacramento
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
To me the most amazing part of the whole story is he was waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves! The “Sacramento Bee” reported Friday that it appears that point guard Beno?Udrih is a good long term fit for the Sacramento Kings. Udrih was traded during the off-season from the San?Antonio Spurs to the T-Wolves, who held onto him for lierally 10 minutes, before waving him. Sacramento found themselves in a bind at the beginning of the season?when they lost starting point guard Mike Bibby to injury just before the campaign started. So?the?Kings signed Udrih as an emergency replacement for Bibby and put him in the starting lineup. Udrih was so good, that after Bibby recovered Sacramento traded bibby to the Atlanta Hawks.?Now it looks like Udrih could be their starter for quite?a while, the report says that the Kings could use part or all of their mid-level exception to sign Udrih to a long term deal during the off-season. Udrih told reporters he is very happy in Sacramento, and will have loyalty to them because they gave him a shot.
