Could Clippers Be Playing With Skeleton Crew Next Season

The 2007-2008 NBA season has not been a particularly joyous one, as far as the Los Angeles Clippers are concerned. The Clips will once again delve in to the NBA Lottery as they currently are at 20-41,?and their coach Mike Dunleavy and General Manager Elgin Baylor have both had?their security threatened by owner Donald Sterling. Things can only get better next year, right? Well, according to “Los Angeles?Times” that is not necessarily the case. See the Clippers could be without two of their key players next year in Corey Maggette, and Elton Brand. That would leave them rookie Al Thornton, center Chris?Kaman and who ever they acquire in the draft. L.A. coach Mike Dunleavy said he thought it would be highly?unlikely for that scenario?to take place, although it is a possibility.
