The Utah Jazz Saturday night had four players who recorded double-doubles, shot a Molten Hot 60.2% (50-83) from the floor for the game, and a Nuclear Hot 73.3% (11-15) from outside the arc, as they absolutely took apart the Denver Nuggets 132-105. Utah had seven players in the game that scored in double figures! The win was the fifth in a row for the Jazz, and they have gone 7-3 in their last ten games.

There were quite a few one sided contests on Saturday night in the Association, and this was right up at the top. Utah broke out to a 34-26 lead at the end of the first quarter, and they were just getting started. They were up 77-54 as the game reached the half, and the contest really was over right then and there. Denver not closer than 25 points behind the Jazz in the third quarter, as they trailed 108-75 at the end of the period. For what ever reason the two teams actually played the fourth quarter.

Mehmet Okur led Utah as he scored 27 points, 11 boards, 3 steals, 1 assist, in the Jazz victory. Carlos Boozer scored 23 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, Paul Milsap came off the bench with the team’s third double-double, 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks. Deron Williams had the fourth double-double for the Jazz 14 points, 16 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, C.J. Miles scored 13 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds. Kyle?Korver?came off the bench and scored 12 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, veteran Matt Harpring scored 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist.

Denver was led by Allen Iverson who scored a game high 28 points, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, in the losing effort. Carmelo Anthony scored 24 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, J.R. Smith scored 16 points off the bench, 1 rebound, 1 steal. Linas Kleiza also came off the bench and scored 14 points, 6 boards, in the loss. Utah is now at 42-22, while Denver is 37-25.
