If you are a resident of the viewing area between the suburbs of New Orleans, LA and Baton Rouge, LA, then unless you have access or are a season ticketholder, you’ve not watched many New Orleans Hornets games.? Well you no longer have to wait, as according to the Hornets’ website, Hornets fans will now have live access to those games as an agreement was reached Saturday between Cox Sports Television and satellite provider Dish Network.

What does this mean to you?? It means that viewership?of CST (Cox Sports Television) will be extended to the Louisiana parishes of Jefferson, Orleans, Lafource, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, Terrebonne and Washington, as well as the Mississippi counties of Hancock, Harrison and Pearl River.?

New Orleans City Council President Arnie Fielkow?said that he’d like to see an agreement between Charter Communications and Cox in the hopes that any agreeement between them would bring televised games to subscribers on the Northshore.? Beginning Wednesday evening, Dish Network will debut Cox Sports TV, including coverage of the Hornets as they host the San Antonio Spurs and then 19 of the team’s final 20 games - the other game being televised by ABC.? The agreement between Cox and Dish Network will? run through the 2009-10 season, but the 2 parties will look into extending the contract.
