Bynum Takes First Steps In Returning To Playing

The Associated Press reported Tuesday night that Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum literally made a?big step in his recovery from a left kneecap injury Tuesday as he ran on a treadmill for the first time since being injured. Bynum was hurt on January 13, as he dislocated his kneecap, and sustained a bone bruise when he went up for a rebound in a game against the Memphis Grizzlies, and came down on top of his teammate Lamar Odom’s foot. Bynum immediately left the game and has not played since. Before using the treadmill Tuesday, Bynum had been rehabbing by running in a pool. The Lakers? are hoping to get Bynum back before the playoffs, but his recovery is taking longer than doctors originally thought. The team said Tuesday that there is no timetable set for Bynum’s return.
