Wilks Enjoying It While He Can

The “Seattle Times” reported Wednesday that Seattle SuperSonics guard Mike Wilks has been given no assurances by the franchise that he will be with team after his second 10 day contract expires. Wilks is basically auditioning for a spot for the rest of the season. Wilks who has also had stints with Denver and Washington this season hopes to be able to stick, but he is taking nothing for granted. The guard told reporters “They told me that once this 10 day is up, then they’ll assess where the team is at and take it from there.” Wilks is in his sixth season in the Association, and has played for seven different teams.
