Caron Should Face LeBron On Thursday Night
Posted by Jeff Sack under Main
The Associated Press is reporting that Washington Wizards All-Star forward Caron Butler most likely will make his return to action Thursday Night as the Wizards take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. Butler has missed 16 consecutive games, and 19 out of the last 21 contests, with an injury to his left hip. Doctors originally thought he had a hip flexor, but he had actually suffered a labral tear of the hip joint. Butler who was chosen as a reserve for the NBA Eastern Conference All-Star team missed the game because of the injury. Butler practiced with the team on Wednesday, and said that he felt fine after the practice. Thursday also happens to be Caron’s 28th birthday so that would make his return that much sweeter. Butler told reporters Wednesday “I’ve got a nice rhythm. I’ve got a couple of practices under my belt. I’m not feeling any symptoms. If I wake up tomorrow and feel the same way, I’ll definitely be on the court. It’s a big day with my birthday. Things seem to be really flowing right now, so tomorrow would be a great game to come back.”
