Nene Near Return?

?????????????????????????????????????????? Denver Nuggets forward Nene?

It is not certain at this point, but hope springs eternal in Denver as very soon news as to whether Denver Nuggets forward/center Nene will be able to play at all this season; Nene sat on the bench during Friday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, but has not played at all since January 11, when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer - which has since been treated.

Perhaps the best indicator of whne Nene returns comes from coach George Karl, when he told Paul Willis of the Rocky Mountain News,?”The gut feeling is this week’s going to be kind of important.? We’re hoping to get him on the court some this week, touching the basketball and playing the basketball a little bit.? I don’t know how much physical contact we’ll do, but we’re moving him toward playing basketball as quick as he possibly can.”
