As has been expected, the Los Angeles Clippers signed guard Smush Parker for the remainder of the season, according to the Jonathan Abrams of the Los Angeles Times; Parker had started the previous two seasons as the Los Angeles Lakers’ point guard before losing his spot to Jordan Farmar late last season and in the playoffs.? Parker signed with the Miami Heat during the off-season, but was inactive since a November 2007 altercation with a parking attendant; he was waived by the Heat last Monday.
In his career, Parker has averaged 9.2 PPG and 2.8 APG and has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons and Phoenix Suns; to create a roster spot for Parker, the Clippers declined to sign Andre Bennett a second 10-day contract.?
