Even though the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the New Jersey Nets Thursday night 104-99, there was at least some reason for the Cavaliers to smile. LeBron James the team’s All-Star forward is now the number two scorer in the history of the franchise. James by scoring 42 points in the loss passed the former number two scorer Austin Carr, Carr had scored 10,265 in his career, LBJ now has 10,267. James will in all probability become the team’s number one scorer within the next week, as he trails the current scoring leader Brad Daugherty by just 122 points. Daugherty the former center of the teams of the late 1980’s through early 1990’s scored 10,389 in his career. Carr played for Cleveland during their infancy in the early 1970’s, and is now a broadcaster for the teams telecasts. James who is still only 23 years old, has averaged 31.0 ppg this season, he has averaged 27.4 ppg during his career.
