Reports Say Cavaliers Will Have A NBDL Team In Erie,PA.

The “Erie Times-News” reported Friday that there will be a press conference held Tuesday, in which the Cleveland Cavaliers will announce that they are setting up a NBDL affiliate starting next season in Erie. If the report proves correct the team in Erie would be the furthest East that the Developmental League has been. Cleveland Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry declined comment saying anything he has to say will be said at the press conference. Erie was a location for the World Basketball League, their team the Erie Wave folded along with the rest of the league in 1992.
