Cavaliers Create NBDL Team In Erie PA.

The “Cleveland Plain Dealer” reported Wednesday that as rumored and reported here at Slam Dunk Central?last week the Cleveland Cavaliers will establish a NBDL franchise starting next season in Erie PA. The report states that Cleveland will probably share the franchise with one or two other teams from the Association. The NBDL team will play it’s games at the Bayfront Convention Center. Cavaliers General Manager Danny Ferry spoke to the media at the press conference held Tuesday in Erie. Ferry believes that the relationship with a locally setup NBDL team is ideal for Cleveland. He?told reporters?”The D-League is growing and becoming more valuable every year. Because the team is a car drive away from both a scouting and an assignment standpoint, we should be better, have greater flexibility and be more connected.”??
