The Golden Eagles managed to survive a 35-point explosion from #11 Kentucky’s Joe Crawford as they held off the Wildcats 74-66 Thursday in the NCAA South Regional at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA.? Marquette’s high scorer was Jerel McNeal with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals, while Lazar Hayward scored 16 with 7 rebounds and a steal; Dominic James added 15 with a rebound, 3 assists and a steal.? Kentucky was led by the aforementioned Crawford with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists, while Ramel Bradley scored 19 with 3 rebounds and 4 assists.? Marquette will now face #3 Stanford Saturday at Honda Center.
