Davidson Wildcats guard Stephen Curry scored 30 of his game high 40 points during the second half as Davidson defeated the Gonzaga Bulldogs Friday morning 82-76. Curry shot 14-23 from the field and 8-11 from outside the arc for the Wildcats. ?Another year another early exit for Gonzaga?who captured the Nation’s imagination early in Bulldogs coach Mark Few’s regime as they went deep into the tournament but have been a disappointment to their fans for the last few years.? Gonzaga looked they might turn their fortunes around this year, as they led at the half? 41-36. But Curry basically strapped the Wildcats to his back during the second half and carried them to glory. Guard Steven Gray was high scorer for the Bulldogs with 21 points, all on treys, seven to be exact. Davidson will meet the winner of #2 Georgetown vs. #15 Maryland- Baltimore Cty, in the second round.
