Hansbrough & Lawson Lead Tar Heels Over The Mount 113-74

Tyler Hansbrough and Ty Lawson each scored 21 points apiece and the North Carolina Tar Heels shot 60.6% (43-71) as they routed Mount St. Mary’s 113-74 Friday in their first round NCAA matchup. North Carolina barely looked like they were breaking a sweat while dominating this contest from start to finish. The Tar Heels led 60-41 as the two teams went to their lockers at the half. North Carolina just increased the severity of the beating in the second period as they outscored Mount St. Mary’s by 20 points in the second half. The Mount were led by Chris Vann who scored 16 points, in the loss. North Carolina will take on the winner of the game between Arkansas and Indiana.
