Hibbert And Hoyas Send Retrievers To The Curb 66-47

Georgetown center Roy Hibbert shot 6-8 from the field, and 1-3 from the line as the Hoyas shot down UMBC Friday 66-47 in their first?round game of the NCAA Midwest Regional. The Hoyas shot 52% (26-50) while holding the Retrievers to just 32% for the game. Georgetown dominated the game from the start as they held a 34-22 lead at the half. Darryl Proctor led all scorers with 16 points for UMBC. Georgetown will take on Davidson on Sunday in the second round of the Midwest Regionals.
