Lakers Brutalize Jazz 106-95

Kobe Bryant scored a game high 27 points leading six Los Angeles Lakers players in double figures, L.A.?shot 52.5% (42-80) from the floor for the game and the Utah Jazz streak of 19 straight wins at the Energy Solutions Arena is now a thing of the past, as the Lakers destroyed the Jazz Thursday night 106-95. The Jazz were blown out of the building despite having all five of their starters score in double figures in the game. Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer both had double-doubles for Utah in the loss.
The Lakers were on a seek and destroy mission early, and basically won the game at the end of the first quarter. Los Angeles led at the end of the period 38-18, and Utah never even came close to getting back in this game. The Lakers led at the half 60-45. For some reason Jazz coach Jerry Sloan made his team come out for the second half, the players probably wish they hadn’t. The Lakers were up 81-69 at the end of the third quarter. The Jazz were never a threat in the final period.
Kobe scored 27 points, he had 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 steal, in the Los Angeles victory. Lamar Odom recorded a double-double, as he scored 21 points, grabbed 12 boards, 6 assists, Vladimir Radmanovic scored 13 points, 3 rebounds, 1 steal. Three Lakers scored 11 points apiece, Derek Fisher did, he also had 2 assists, 2 steals, 2 rebounds. Jordan Farmar came off the bench and scored 11 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal, Sasha Vujacic also scored 11 points coming off the pine, 3 rebounds.
Deron Williams led Utah with 26 points, 12 assists, 7 rebounds, 1 block. Carlos Boozer scored 23 points, 15 boards, 3 assists, Andrei Kirilenko scored 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists. Ronnie Brewer scored 12 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, Mehmet Okur scored 10 points, 7 rebounds, in the loss. Los Angeles is now back atop the Western Conference with a record of 47-21, Utah is 45-25.
