Mountaineers Tame Wildcats 75-65

The West Virginia Mountaineers shot 50.9% (28-55) from the floor for the game as they took a first half battle and turned it into a pretty easy win as they defeated the Arizona Wildcats Thursday night 75-65. The Mountaineers were up by just one point at the half, but they ended up taking over in the second half of the contest. West Virginia guard Alex Ruoff with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist. Arizona was led by the game’s high scorer forward Chase Budinger who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists. West Virginia takes on Duke in the second round.
