In what has been the most exciting game thus far on today’s schedule of NCAA Regional first-round action, Ty Rogers hit a 3-pointer with no time on the clock in overtime, enabling #12 Western Kentucky to pull off the upset, edging #5 Drake 101-99 in the NCAA West regional at St. Pete Times Forum.? Western Kentucky’s leading scorer was Tyrone Brazelton with 33 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals while Courtney Lee scored 15 with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal and 2 blocked shots.? Drake was led by Jonathan Cox with 29 points, 16 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocked shots while Klayton Korver (brother of Utah Jazz forward Kyle Korver) scored 21 points, 3 rebounds and a steal; Josh Young added 18 with 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals while Leonard Houston pitched in with 17 along with 7 rebounds, an assist, 2 steals and a blocked shot.? Western Kentucky will now face the winner of the Connecticut-San Diego game on Sunday.
