What a difference a game makes.? #5 Notre Dame’s high-powered offense, thanks to an air-tight defense was shut down by #4 Washington State; the end result was a 61-41 drubbing of the Fighting Irish Saturday in the second round of the NCAA East regional at Pepsi Center in Denver, CO.? Washington State was led by Derrick Low with 18 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals while Kyle Weaver scored 15 with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a blocked shot.? Notre Dame was led by Kyle McAlarney with 12 points, 3 rebounds and an assist while Luke Harangody scored 10 with 22 rebounds, 2 assists, a steal and a blocked shot.? Washington State will now advance and host the winner of the North Carolina-Arkansas game on Thursday, March 27, at Charlotte, NC.
