Mario Chalmers scored 17 points, and the Kansas Jayhawks shot an incredible 58.0% (29-50) as they ran past the UNLV Rebels Saturday in their second round matchup 75-56. The game was relatively close in the first half as the two teams went to their respective locker rooms with Kansas ahead 34-29. But the Jayhawks outscored the Rebels in the second half by 17 points, to find themselves headed to the “Sweet Sixteen” next weekend. Wink Adams led all scorers as the UNLV guard scored 25 points in the game. Kansas will take on the winner of the Siena Villanova game next weekend.
