Neitzel & Lucas Help Spartans Take Bite Out Of Panthers 65-54

Michigan State guard Drew Neitzel scored 21 points, his partner in the backcourt Kalin Lucas scored 19 more, and the two combined to score 21 of the Spartans final 25 points, as they knocked the Pitt Panthers out of the big dance, Saturday 65-54. Michigan State despite shooting an anemic 32.7% ( 17-52) from the floor for the game held a 30-28 advantage at the half. They outscored the Panthers by nine points in the second half. Pittsburgh was led by Levance Fields. Michigan State advances now to the “Sweet Sixteen”, they will take on the winner of the Memphis and Mississippi State next weekend. ?
