As a result, #7 West Virginia will live to see another day, handing #2 Duke an early exit from the tournament, defeating them 73-67 in the second round of the NCAA West regional at Verizon Center at Washington, D.C.? West Virginia’s high scorer was Joe Alexander with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocked shots?while Alex Ruoff scored 17 with 6 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.? Duke?was led by Gerald Henderson with 18 points,?2 rebounds, a steal and 2 blocked shots, while Jon Scheyer scored 15 with a rebound, 2 assists and a steal.? West Virginia advances to?face the winner of the Purdue-Xavier game, which will be played on Thursday, March 27 in Phoenix, AZ.?
